Surf WobblerWobbler

One of the biggest challenges faced by the Marketing & Design sector has always been to offer clients something different.  For many such companies the creative aspect is the easiest part, its when those ideas have to meet price and lead time expectations of the client that things can become more difficult.  A Bespoke inflatable is often perceived incorrectly as a no go area; a Far East sourced product that will require large tooling costs and vast quantities.

Bristol based design agency Epoch Design, came to Penguin with the sort of enquiry that a bespoke manufacturer strives on. Containing two key elements in the form of, "Have a look at this" and "Do you think that can be done?," they asked us to quote on an inflatable shelf wobbler as opposed to the normal strip of print normally seen on the edge of any retail outlets shelving.

Penguin Production manager Chris Tyler was pleased with the way the job was specified. "The product design was something Penguin had been making for years, so that didn't present any problems. The print element of the job was where we really scored. We had to produce a full colour product in relatively low quantities and being part of the Evans Group gave us access to the latest digital print technologies. At our disposal was a range of digital print equipment and techniques suitable for use on many different substrates including the clear PVC required for this particular job."
